One of the main differences to the overall content of my project was the importation to the site of the section "Glossary of Castle Terms". I did not find this site until a few weeks ago and I thought that it was relevant to include it in the main part of my project. The inclusion was due to the fact that my project is aimed at those with little or no knowledge of Japanese castles and I felt that they would find a glossary of castle terms of great use.

The section "The Development and History of Japanese Castles" went to schedule, being an historical account of castle fortification in Japan. Images were included scattered throughout the text which I had not mentioned in my proposal. The images break up the text making it easier to read and visually more attractive.

The "Castle Building Techniques and Design" section received quite a bit of change in the area of structure. It turned out to be alot more complex than I had first anticipated and inserting a table for navigation made it easier to handle for me the creator, and it will hopefully also be helpful for users. The descriptions of the individual features of the castle turned out longer than I had planned and I therefore had to split this section into four pages as the section as one page took too long to download. The issue of the amount of time things take to download was a problem that I had not considered before starting my project.

In the section "Azuchi-jo" the essay varied to what I had originally proposed. I was going to do a comparison of Azuchi-jo with Himeji-jo, Osaka-jo and Matsumoto-jo, but after doing some extensive research I realised that this would be an extremely involved task, and one that I did not have time for. This due to the fact that most of the research required would have been in Japanese. This section therefore only featured an historical account of Azuchi-jo. Pictures were once again scattered throughout.

The major variation in the section "Castle Images" was the inclusion of frames. I chose to use frames to show that I could use them. I also used them in this section because it was the only section that required a contents page within it. The section was split into four pages because it took too long to download the section as one page. Within this section there is also a lot of room for extension, that somebody will hopefully take on in the future.

I intended to include alot more links to other sites within my project, but due to lack of decent material available on the net I later changed my mind. Some of the sites that I had planned to link to also seem to have disappeared. The "Interesting Sites" section has links to three sites: a site on Japanese warlords, (which unfortunately has missing pictures), a site on Japanese swords and a site on Momoyama art. I imported the section on Momoyama art into my account because it was easy to do so consisting of only the text and two images. The section on Japanese swords is however quite complex and I felt that an outside link was more appropriate if it happens to go off the server it will not effect my project too much.

There is room for improving my project in a number of ways. The most obvious improvement would be to the images. Some of the images taken from brochures were quite reflective and did not turn out too good.
