THE DIFFERENCES

Looking back upon my proposal I think I could say I was a little ambitious in respects to certain fields. I really thought the offerings of the web would be a lot more specific, as would people I contacted. Unfortunately this is the major problem with studying a topic which is yet to be fully accepted by society. There are those people so carefully treding over this "controversial" topic (may I say those who have yet to realise the benefits cannabis is able to provide for them). This conservative, for lack of a better word, group was quite a small number I encountered so that was encouraging to an extent.

Finding really reliable information was probably the most difficult part of the project. It was not because there was no ionformation around, it was just every source I seemed to come across had the same quotes and referencing. This was particularly so with newspaper and magazine articles. Often I would find quotes, or very similar ideas in different magazines. A few times I found things and ideas I had written from one source, would sound so close to another I had to rearrange my thoughts.

After all that complaining I guess I should get down to the business of discussing the diffences between the project and the proposal. Well the first and most honest reason for the difference is, at the time of the submission of the proposal I really had not completely decided upon where I was going to go with this. I just knew I wanted to find out more (lots more) about this plant I had always assumed was a weed that had a psycoactive effect.
This is why my proposal covered the "MAIN" areas hemp is applied to as an environmental saviour. I knew I wanted to concentrate upon the areas of paper and textiles, as these are areas I think hemp could be supplemented to Australia's existing industries in these fields. However, I did not want to find myself completely swamped in these areas, hence the decision to encorporate more areas. Also reasoning for this was I wanted the project to be aimed a target audience of secondary school. This developed, I would think from discussions with my sister. She is still at school and very consciousness of what's going on in the world.
As a mentioned earlier the internet information on hemp was not as good as I thought it would be, so to create something directly related to Australia, rather than adapting ideas from overseas, especially America seemes to be a good idea to develop. >

The area surrounding fuel and energy, just never really got started. I found people of dismissing the idea- "its the last utilisation of hemp we should worry about." So when "experts" are dismissing an area it is too easy to follow them and chase more exciting and tangible ideas.

My related web sites is obviously a little skint. Well I did not want to just shove anything in. The obviously most desired use of marijuana, when one looks around the web, seems to be as a smoking recreation. I particularly decided not to get involved in the legalisation for recreation, as it becomes a real matter of personal choice, and conflicts could arise from this area.

I think these are my main excuses for the differences.
