Project Jigsaw:
Technologies Employed
The black and white images of Borobudur were copied with a
Sony DXC-930P 3-CCD video camera, and framegrabbed into 1.6 megapixel
images;
The digital images were processed using our own software, including
ibatch, an X-Window program written in tcl/tk allowing the
manipulation and processing of digital images of any dimensions;
VRML development work was on a Pentium Pro 400 machine with 128Mb
of memory and a DiamondPro graphics card; image processing was on
a Pentium 133 running LINUX;
A visit to Borobudur is projected with the aim of taking direct
colour digital images of the monument, perhaps at 6 million pixels;
